Camping Rally
This inaugural COG event in northeast Iowa is located in Iowa's Driftless Area about 15 miles west of the Mississippi River.  Iowa's Driftless Area is a place with rolling hills, stunning overlooks, and some of the most charming little towns west of the Mississippi.

Camping & Lodging
Camping and rally central will be at the Waukon City Park Campground in Waukon, IA.  The group camping site is reserved and tent site fees ($15/day) can be paid to the city upon arrival - no further reservations needed for tent camping.  The campground has a shower house and restroom facilities.  Firewood is available free to campers.

RV camping sites are also available for $20/night ($25/night with water/electric hookup).  If you're planning to RV, reservations are not required, but to guarantee a spot, call 563-568-0081 or 563-568-6420 to make a reservation.

Not into camping, no problem.  The Boarders Inn & Suites is less than a mile away.

Food

Your registration fee will include dinner on Friday and Saturday, and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday (the menus are still being worked out).  Here is the current thinking on the menu... but we reserve the right to change.

  • Friday night - Maid Rite sandwiches and chips, available as you come for stragglers, etc...
  • Saturday breakfast - Breakfast casserole of some sort - meat, hash browns, and eggs cooked together
  • Saturday night - Lasagna, tossed salad, and garlic toast
  • Sunday breakfast - Sausage gravy/biscuits, scrambled eggs.

There are also several restaurants within walking distance in Waukon.

Bottled water and coffee will be provided, and coolers with ice will be available for anyone who wants to BYOB.
