Gator Nationals Qualifying
A few of us COGger's from Daytona Bikeweek will ride over Friday morning, March 12th, 2021 to watch qualifying runs for the Gator Nationals.  We should arrive at the Gainesville Raceway around 9:30 am if anyone wants to meet up.  Fridays General Admission tickets are $40.00, onsite discount to military and LE (active/retired).

Free parking, and motorcycles get to park up front, north east end of parking lot.  The AMALIE Motor Oil Gatornationals is an annual National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) national drag race event held each March at Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, Florida. The 2021 event will be held March 11-14.

More Info: The Gatornationals has the title of being the drag race to see the first 260-mph Top Fuel and Funny Car runs in 1984 by Joe Amato and Kenny Bernstein respectively, and the first 270-mph and 300-mph Top Fuel passes by Don Garlits and Kenny Bernstein in 1986 and 1992, respectively.  Its 675-foot concrete launchpad is one of the longest on the tour.

Special Announcement Regarding COVID-19
At the time of this posting (February 2021), there is hope we will get a handle on this pandemic in 2021.  However, things can change quickly, so we’re asking everyone to be prepared for possible procedural changes.

To create a safe and enjoyable event for everyone, all participants must agree to the following:

  1. Each person will be responsible for monitoring their own health.  If you feel sick, or if you've been in close contact with someone who has recently tested positive, please stay home.
  2. Use hand sanitizer and practice hand washing during the event and before every meal.
  3. Bring a mask and be prepared to follow local guidelines regarding masks and social distancing.
  4. Event plans and procedures may be subject to change based on new requirements.

Registration/Fees
There are no registration fees, but we are asking everyone to register online so we have an idea of how many people to expect.
