31st Annual Bun Cooler

Join us for the 31st Annual Bun Cooler!  Hosted by Jim Sherman, this is the premier kickoff event for all Northwest COG'ers and the unofficial "season opener" for the Northwest!                                                                

Lodging

We will once again be at the Lewis & Clark Resort at Clearwater River KOA in Kamiah, Idaho on highway 12. The resort is nestled at the base of the infamous motorcycle Mecca, Lolo Pass.  You've seen the sign "Winding Road Next 99 Miles", now make the ride.  Great location!  

The hotel is taking reservations now -- CLEARWATER KOA 800-562-9038 MENTION YOU ARE WITH COG FOR THESE RATES:

  • King rooms are $89 plus tax/night
  • Double queen rooms are 95 plus tax/night Cabins $154 - $169 plus tax/night depending on the size of the cabin.

There is no set ride schedule.

Food

For registrations received before midnight on Sunday, May 8th, the banquet dinner Saturday night is included with your registration and starts at 6 PM. During registration, you will have the option to choose between:  

  • Yankee Pot Roast with Potato, Carrots and Onions*         
  • Monterey Chicken & Rice*

* Includes: Specialty Dinner Rolls, Green Salad, Baked Beans, Cupcakes

As noted above, registration received after Sunday, May 8th will not include the banquet dinner.  Registrants may be able to purchase dinner from the caterer on-site if there is extra food. 

The following OPTIONAL meal options must be pre-ordered and pre-paid during registration and will only be available for registrations made before midnight on Sunday, May 8th.  These meals will be served on-site by a caterer so that riders don't have to ride into town for the following meals.

  • Friday Dinner from 3 - 7 PM - Italian Roast Beef Sandwich, Potato & Macaroni Salad, Homemade Chips, Baked Beans, Cookie $13.00
  • Saturday Breakfast from 7 - 8 AM - Biscuits & Gravy, Scrambled Eggs, Cottage Cheese, Mixed Fruit Salad $13.00 
  • Sunday Breakfast from 7 - 8 AM - Breakfast Burrito, Sausage, & Brown Gravy, Hash Browns, Scrambled Eggs and Cheese, Yogurt, Fresh Fruit $13.00

Health and Safety Announcement  

Please come prepared to follow state and local guidelines regarding masks and social distancing.  Each person is responsible for monitoring their own health.  If you feel sick, or if you've been in close contact with someone who has recently tested positive, please stay home. 

Event Apparel 

Commemorative apparel will be available to purchase when you complete your online registration.  Small design is front pocket area - Large design is the back.  Event apparel is no longer available for order.  The order deadline was Tuesday, May 3rd.


There will be NO REFUNDS on purchased apparel.  If the event is cancelled, the purchaser would be responsible for making arrangements to receive apparel, including payment for shipping charges.

Registration (UPDATED)
All event registrations will be done online.  Registrations received before midnight on Sunday, May 8th will include the banquet dinner on Saturday night. Registrations received after May 8th WILL NOT include the banquet dinner, but registrants may be able to purchase from the caterer on-site if there is extra food.  

Online registration will close on Wednesday, May 18th at 11:59 pm.  (reminder that the deadline to order event merchandise was Tuesday, May 3rd).  

COG Members/Associate Members

  • $24 before midnight on May 08 (includes banquet dinner)
  • $10 from May 09 – May 18 (DOES NOT include banquet dinner)

Non-Members/Forum-Only Subscribers

  • $29 before midnight on May 08 (includes banquet dinner)
  • $14 from May 09 – May 18 (DOES NOT include banquet dinner)

Cancellations and Refund Policy

Cancellations will be accepted up through Wednesday, May 18th.  Refunds will be paid by check (minus a $5 administration fee) and sent via USPS after the event. 

There will be NO REFUNDS of event or banquet registration fees for cancellations made after May 18th, and NO REFUNDS on apparel (purchaser would be responsible for making arrangements to receive apparel, including payment for shipping charges).
