White Mountains National Forest Weekend

Join Kevin Martin for 3 days of fun riding in the White Mountains. We’ll be staying at the Golden Gables Inn, in Conway New Hampshire. I had a Family weekend there over Christmas, and the rooms were exceptionally clean, the complex is very well kept, and the rates are reasonable for the area. I thought the Gables Inn would be a nice place to host a weekend ride in the White Mountains.

The Inn is located on Rte 16, about 5 miles north of the entrance of the Kancamagus Highway, (Rte 112). Conway is a very popular area for lodging, dining, and shopping, so the listed dates are the last weekend before the Inn raises their rates for the summers.

Thursday & Friday (June 1 & 2) are available, according to their Booking Website, and offer their lowest weekend rates. If attendees decide to room share with friends, depending on room type, you could potentially share a room for less than $100 per night, a bargain for this area. They also offer a 10% discount for AAA and AARP Members.

A Thursday / Friday booking in Conway will give us 3 full days of riding all through the White Mountains and beyond. Depending on interest, we can even head northeast into Maine for a longer ride to the Rangeley Lakes area on Friday. I’ll be creating some GPS routes for this event and post them at a later date.

There isn’t a block of rooms reserved for COG, and the Golden Gables books up fast, so make your reservations online ASAP if you’re interested in attending.

For you Massachusetts Coggers, I’ll be leading a group ride up to the Golden Gables if anyone’s interested. A separate Event will be posted on the COG calendar for that ride.
