Wildflower Rally
Once again, we will meet at the River Inn Resort in Hunt, TX for a few days of riding central Texas twisty roads, comparing farkles, looking at wild flowers (hopefully there will be some), and putting off doing your taxes a little longer.
Lodging The River Inn Resort and Conference Center near Hunt, TX is holding a block of rooms below the dam (east end). There are only a limited number of two bed rooms left below the dam. If you absolutely need a two bed room, ask if they have any above the dam (west end). Most single bed rooms have a pull out sofa bed as well.
Single bed rooms are at the weekday rate of $120/night, and the two bed rooms are $150/night. (Yes, that is a price increase from previous years.) Booking online will not automatically give you the COG rate, so call them at (830) 238-4226 to make your reservations. Rates are good for Thursday, March 3oth as well if you choose to arrive a day early, as many do.
Trailers
There is some limited parking at the west end of the facility for parking larger trailers, however there will be a Model T group there as well and some may trailer those in. Parking or driving out in the grass is prohibited because of septic field damage. Do not assume that a late Friday night arrival will have room for your large enclosed trailer. Most motorcycle trailers can be accommodated if they are detached from the tow vehicle.
Meals
Since the rooms at the River Inn have stoves and utensils for cooking, you may wish to prepare your own meals (restaurants are many miles away with a twisty deer populated road as the only access to and from the River Inn). If you would rather not participate in the meals, please let the host know this so that excess food costs are not incurred. Thank You!
Registration/Fees COG has decided to use it's own funds to cover insurance and overhead of this event so there is no registration fee, a food money donation at the event is requested and a waiver must be signed at the event. This waiver signing includes those attending that have no intention of riding and parents or guardians must sign for minors.
Those refusing to sign the waiver will be asked to leave the rally.
We're asking everyone to register online to provide a headcount and help with planning. Registration deadline is Wednesday, March 29th.
I hope to see you there! Until then, please be safe.
