2026 Longest Day Ride

This year’s ride has a different route due to WA-20 being closed due to slides over the winter.

This has not changed: 8AM Breakfast at Denny’s 2202 WA-530  Arlington, WA 98223

Show up gassed up and ready to ride.

Goal is to leave the parking lot at 9am, depending on the expediency of the service inside.

We head toward Oso on WA-530 and stop at the slide memorial. We have a 40-minute time slot for this stop to allow for anyone who wants to explore the memorial and get a better feel for what happened on March 22nd, 2014.

Before we get to Rockport is when we deviate from the original route and turn left onto Concrete Sauk Valley Rd. At the Skagit River bridge, continue straight on S Skagit Hwy. When we get to WA-9 we go north to Acme, then turn right on Mosquito Lake Rd. We follow that to WA-542 Mt. Baker Hwy, where we turn right. We follow WA-542 to Kendall, and keep following 542 as far as we can go up Mt. Baker ski resort. We go back down 542 to Kendall, where we continue on WA-547 north to Sumas, and lunch at Bob’s Burgers.

After lunch, back south on WA-9 to WA-542, where we turn right and go west to cross under I-5. After crossing under I-5, we turn left to go south on James St. We follow GPS directions through town to WA-11, Chuckanut Drive. We follow that to Edison Station and turn right on W Bow Hill Rd. We then go south to WA-20, then work around March’s Point Rd around the refineries. We proceed south on Reservation Rd. to Fir Island Rd., cross under I-5 and proceed on WA=534 to WA-9. We go south on WA-9 to WA-530, and turn left onto Arlington Heights Rd., then turn right on Jordan Rd. down to Robe Menzel Rd. When we get to Granite Falls, we go south on Menzel Lake Rd. to Lake Roesiger, then turn left on Woods Creek Rd. We follow that to the Shell station at 19376 Stevens Pass Hwy. to conclude the ride.
