    Wildflower Rally
Once again, we will meet at the River Inn Resort in Hunt, TX for a few days of riding central Texas twisty roads, comparing farkles, ogling wild flowers, and putting off doing your taxes a little longer.

    Lodging
The River Inn Resort and Conference Center near Hunt, TX is holding a block of rooms below the dam (east end).  To the best of my knowledge, there are no two bed rooms left below the dam.  If you absolutely need a two bed room, ask if they have any above the dam (west end).  Most single bed rooms have a pull out sofa bed as well.

Single bed rooms are at the weekday rate of $95/night, and the two bed rooms are $125/night.  Booking online will not automatically give you the COG rate, so call them at (830) 238-4226 to make your reservations.  Rates are good for Thursday the 25th as well if you choose to arrive a day early, as many do.

    Meals
Given the current environment at the time of this posting (January 2021), we are not planning to provide meals.  If we do have food service, it may only be on Saturday night.  Perhaps on Friday night as well if we find a way to do it safely.  If we figure out a way to safely provide food service, we will raise a collection by passing the hat.

If there is food service Saturday night, we may try an organized group ride to a restaurant in nearby Kerrville.

Breakfast on Saturday morning will NOT be provided, so bring some coffee for yourself if you need/enjoy that morning jolt.  The rooms have enough utensils and appliances to prepare yourself small meals.

    Special Announcement Regarding COVID-19
At the time of this posting (January 2021), there are promising signs that this pandemic will be brought under control in 2021.  However, because no one is certain what the world will look like in 2021, we’re asking everyone to be prepared for possible procedural changes.

    Registration/Fees
There are no registration fees this year, but we are asking everyone to register online so we have an idea of how many people to expect.  Those refusing to sign the waiver will be asked to leave the rally.  I hope to see you there!  Until then, please be safe.  - Marty

    Return to Hohenwald IV
Barring untold disasters of global or biblical proportions, we intend to host the RTH IV on April 22-25, 2021 at the Natchez Trace Wilderness Preserve near Hohenwald, TN.

This area has some of the best roads in middle Tennessee.  Also, some of the better destinations are the Jack Daniels & George Dickle's Distillery, the Shiloh Battlefield, Pickwick Dam to name just a few.

    Camping
The campground has blocked out 10 cabins for our use. Prices listed reflect our discount as a group.  RV sites are also available if you're interested.
    Campground Map

    Standard Cabin (sleeps 4) from Thursday-Sunday: $228.57

    Deluxe Cabin (sleeps 4) from Thursday-Sunday: $336.57

    Meals
There will be supper Thursday thru Saturday.  But you will be on your own for breakfast and lunch.  There are restaurants in Hohenwald (about 10-15 minutes away).

Kenny has volunteered his talents to entertain us on Saturday night again.  For those not familiar with Kenny, it's safe to say it'll be worth the price of admission.  With any luck, we'll be able to pull this off this time - time will tell.

    Special Announcement Regarding COVID-19
While there are signs that this pandemic will be brought under control in 2021, none of the medical experts are ready to commit to an exact date.  As such, some procedural changes will be required to help everyone feel more comfortable and safer while we are all under the threat of COVID-19.  We anticipate that mask requirements may still be in place, so please plan to bring your own mask/face covering for when you are in public places or in close proximity to others.

To create a safe and enjoyable event for everyone, all participants must agree to the following:

    1. Each person will be responsible for monitoring their own health.  If you have a fever, coughing, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, fatigue, and/or body aches, or if you have been in close contact with someone who has recently tested positive, please stay at home.
    2. Use hand sanitizer and practice hand washing during the event and before every meal.
    3. SOCIAL DISTANCING and MASKS will be required while moving through the serving lines.
    4. The event plans and procedures may be subject to change based on new requirements.

    Registration/Fees
Other than campground fees, the Social is free for members and friends of the COG, so if you don't like it, Jack or I will give your your money back.

Please don't forget to register so we can get a headcount for food

    • Hotel Vienna | 107 State Route 296, Windham, NY 12496

Please save the date and make your hotel reservations.

Registration details TBD - Check back for updates

It is SPRING FLING time. This is a do-over from the postponed 2020 event. The new dates are May 20 - 23, 2021 and the location is at the north end of the Catskill Mountain region - a great place to ride.

This cozy and well-kept hotel has a lovely indoor pool in a separate building with lounge area and Jacuzzi, a spacious outdoor deck with fire pit, a small cozy basement lounge, a small breakfast nook. and a tire-kicking friendly parking lot. Some hotel amenities are subject to change depending on COVID restrictions.

All 29 rooms at Hotel Vienna are being held for COG. The hotel does not have a large enough space to hang out or have a group dinnerThis event will have limited attendance, initially capped at 60 people. If the hotel fills up, there is other nearby lodging.

Be cognizant of any quarantine rules for New York State with regard to the state that you will be traveling from.

    Lodging

           Hotel Vienna
         107 State Route 296
          Windham, NY 12496
          518-734-5300
          www.thehotelvienna.com

Our block of rooms is only held until March 31, 2021. You must make reservations by calling the hotel directly, not through the website.  The hotel is closed the month of April. If you call and leave a message while they are closed it may take a few days for a return call. You can email them your reservation request information and they will contact you. info@thehotelvienna.com

We have negotiated a rate of $110 per night (+8% tax), which is a significant saving from the hotel’s usual rate. This includes a continental breakfast between 7:30-10:00 am if COVID restrictions allow.  At a minimum there will be some grab & go breakfast items.

There are 29 rooms total.  All rooms have a balcony and mini fridge.  Room layouts are as follows:

    • 10 rooms have 2 two queen bed
    •  6 rooms have a king bed and a twin bed
    • 13 rooms have one king bed

We implore you to be considerate when reserving a room, and ask for the layout that would be most efficient to make certain that anyone who is making a reservation is able to procure a bed.  For example, if you are solo or a couple, please don’t reserve a room with two beds.  The hotel staff will be happy to steer you through this and advise you on what room might be best for you, since they have several different room/bed floorplans.

If the Hotel Vienna becomes fully booked there is other lodging nearby, but there are no negotiated rooms or prices other than at Hotel Vienna. You are on your own to secure alternate lodging.

    Additional Lodging:

If necessary, other nearby lodging will be posted later. These will be non-negotiated accommodations.

    Registration

We intend to keep the rally registration fee very low. This fee will help cover the cost of the AMA sanction & insurance.

Due to COVID restrictions and social distancing considerations there will be no banquet dinner.  If possible we may have a donation funded pizza dinner or something similar.

    Cancellation/Refund Policy

Because we are planning on a small fee, there will be no refunds.

Rally Check-in: Onsite rally check-in required. Event will be AMA sanctioned and will require signing AMA waiver. Wristbands will be used to identify rally attendees.

    Run with the Wolf
The 2021, 27th edition of Run with the Wolf is open for registration.  This year’s rally committee is made up of Mike Laven and Ron Simmons (with guidance and support from Jerry Holland).

All are welcome to this four day rally, so if you are considering a full membership in the Concours Owners Group (COG), please come and meet us, see how we do things in SECOG, and maybe you'll be convinced to become a member.  We might grow on you, and you'll meet some great people who love to ride.

If you are unable to come for the full four days, come for as long as you can. But please don't miss the biggest rally in the southeast area.  Hopefully this year will be beautiful weather and we can have a full house (and be on the downside of COVID, dog gone it!).

The Southeast members are known to enjoy a good bonfire, so we'll have a large common area for our nightly fire.  As our members are also known to go late into the night around the fire, we've made arrangements to have a good supply of wood available.  SECOG members are the most experienced campers in all of COG, so expect all of the usual things that we like.

    Food
Included in the rally fee is a Saturday night banquet BBQ dinner catered by the TWoS staff.  Remember to wear the wristband you will receive at check-in to the banquet dinner (no wristband = no dinner).  Having a headcount is also crucial for the TWoS staff to plan for our meal (so please try to register early!).

    Camping & Lodging

    Camping
Two Wheels of Suches (TWoS), also known as TWO (Two Wheels Only), has been totally remodeled, featuring all new bath houses and rest rooms, and the main lodge has gone through a complete rebuild, with a new kitchen and loft sleeping quarters.  Due to issues surrounding Covid and downturn of attendance this past year and need to support TWO, the camping rate is now $15 over night.  Dang - that's reasonable!

Once again this year, TWoS will have 3 camp sites that will have electricity available for those who need it (e.g., if you have a CPAP or a need where electricity is important to your health).

You don't need to make reservations if you are tent camping.

    Cabins
TWoS also has 8 cabins available for booking.  These will go fast, so make your reservation as soon as possible.

To check on availability or make a reservation for one of the cabins or a lodge room, use TWoS' new online booking system at https://twowheelsofsuches.com/contact-us/ or call (706) 973-1671.

    Lodge Rooms
TWoS also has a limited number of lodge rooms available on a first come first served basis.  Make your reservations early for a lodge room or a cabin if you don't plan to tent camp.  Mention COG when booking a cabin or lodge room.

    RV Parking
There is limited RV parking but NO hookups at TWoS.  If you need/want hookups, there are other camping resorts nearby.  Please google those.

    Special Announcement Regarding COVID-19
At the time of this posting (early 2021), there is hope that this pandemic will be brought under control in 2021.  However, no one is certain what the world will look like in 2021, so we’re asking everyone to be prepared for possible changes.

    3. Bring a mask and be prepared to follow local guidelines regarding masks and social distancing.
    4. Event plans and procedures may be subject to change based on new requirements.

    Registration/Fees
Registration fee is $30.00 for COG Members/Associate Members, and $40.00 for guests and non-members (including Forum-Only subscribers).

When you arrive, look for the COG check in point on the deck to the left of the lodge.  At check-in, you will receive a wristband that will be needed for the banquet dinner on Saturday.  Look forward to seeing you there!

Registration closes at 11:59 pm (EDT) on September 1, 2021.

    Cancellation/Refund Policy
Cancellations will be accepted up through September 1, 2021.  Refunds will be paid by check (minus a $10 administration fee) and sent via USPS after the event.  There will be no refunds for cancellations made after 09/01/21.
